About The Department
Department of Management Studies was started in the academic year 2000-2001. The department is affiliated to the University of Madras and was recognized by the AICTE in the same year. Presently, the department comprises 9 teaching faculties, Headed by Mrs. S. Saranya, for BBA stream and Dr.P.Raja for MBA stream.
The Department has taken great interest in imparting new trends in Management studies to the students and thereby preparing them to the highly competitive world. The Department aims to transform the students to be
Multi-skilled Administrators and Managers.
The Department has qualified and experienced faculties to impart practical and skill based teaching / training including soft skills. They also train the students to facilitate decision making and promote self confidence among the students. Special emphasis is on shaping the students to meet the essentials of the business community .
The faculty members strive hard to develop Managerial skills among the students in the field of Management, InfoTech and also to inculcate in them ethical, social and moral values.
The Department is arranging visiting faculties from renowned institutions to give incomparable exposure to students about different concepts of management studies. Guest Lectures are also conducted in the department to keep the students abreast with the latest trends and developments in the field of management.
Personality Development Courses are being conducted to all the students, which would enable them to attain success during their personal interviews and improve their management abilities. Periodical industrial visits are being organized to promote industry-institute interaction and also to familiarize the students with industrial environment and systems.
The Department regularly conducts Management carnival and CSR Programmes for the benefit of the students. Campus interviews are conducted annually and students were given placement, before the completion of their degrees. The Department also has entered an MOU with Aanji Spring Pvt. Ltd. The department also conducts workshops and FDPs to enrich and to advance knowledge of the staff members.
Students of our department have participated in inter – collegiate meets and made paper presentations on managerial subjects and achieved greater heights. We proudly state that our students have also secured University Rank.
