About The Department
The Department of History was established in June 1971 with sanctioned strength of about 30 students. At present 60 are admitted to the course every year as the sanctioned strength has been increased .Now the Department functions under the headship of Ms. J.RENUKADEVI, M.A., M.Phil., MBA.,
The Department has the credit of producing University Rank Holders Since 2010 the staff of the Department involved themselves in conducting various non Academic activities to bring out the potentials of our students.. Our students actively participate in the extra curricular activities such as NCC,NSS, CCC , YRC and sports every year. Few of our students pursue post graduation and Professional Courses.
Our Alumni is the biggest strength of our Department they are placed in different Organization s. The Students and the staff of the department participated in various intercollegiate events including conferences , seminars and workshops. The Department also conducts workshops on regular basis.
