We at S.I.V.E.T., recognise that young adults entering college might encounter a variety of emotional concerns while adapting themselves to the new environment. Along with educational, professional, and personality development, we prioritise mental health of students as a part of our college’s mission.
S.I.V.E.T. Students Counselling Centre has two full-time professional counsellors, to attend to our students’ mental well-being. In a completely confidential and safe setting, our counsellors provide support and direction both perceptually and spiritually. Individual and group counselling sessions are provided to assess students’ academic performance, learning challenges, and emotional insecurities . Students with varied levels of learning disabilities and attention issues are identified early on and given appropriate remedies to thrive holistically. Besides, regular awareness campaigns are held in the college precincts to raise awareness about mental health among our students.
Single session therapies and group workshops are also offered on the following to meet students’ needs:
- Higher education counselling
- Healthy Student-Faculty Interaction
- Stress and time management
- Study skill Enhancement
- Guidance for students with short attention span.
